The Unbreakable World Championship is back! Next Saturday, 16 of the world best bboys will compete in a 1 on 1 dance-off battle to discover who will be the Unbreakable and Breakable champ!
Unbreakable brings together 16 complete break-dancers to give you the best dance battle you will ever see!
During the day you can try your luck at Music Centre Trix, where you can participate in bboybattles, an urban dance contest or the first ever Unbreakable DJ-battle! But if you’re not the competitive type, just gear up for one of our free workshops. Don’t miss out!
The Women’s field hockey qualifying tournaments are 3 tournaments which will determine the final three open spots at the 2012 Summer Olympics. A total of 18 teams compete in these qualifying tournaments which take place in Belgium, India and Japan. Only the winner of each tournament will win a place at London this summer. The Belgian, Irish, Russian, Spanish, Mexican and French teams push their limit from 13th until 26th of March, to earn a space at these Olympics. During the tournament Ramada Plaza Antwerp is hosting the Russian, Irish and Spanish teams.
The finals will be played on Sunday, 25th March 2012. Our head office is in Dublin and the Irish & the Belgian teams meet each other on Friday, 23rd March 2012. We wish the Irish team the best of luck, but can’t deny that we would even like it more if the Belgian team qualified… If not, we promise to support Ireland fully!

On 16, 17 and 18 March, spectators and enthusiasts will visit the Olympic swimming pool Wezenberg, opposite the Ramada Plaza Antwerp hotel, to see the best Belgian swimmers compete for the national title.

Ramada Plaza Antwerp was the setting of a scene in the popular series “Zone stad”. This is a popular Flemish-Belgian TV series about a police-department located in Antwerp. The show started in 2003. In the series, police officers solve various crimes, which are shown as realistically as possible. The episode shot on location at the Ramada Plaza Antwerp will be broadcast on 23rd March and the scene was filmed in the disco of our hotel.

We are glad to inform you that our new look and design will be completed in the beginning of April. We have already finished 7 of the 10 floors in the hotel, which has included our fabulous Deluxe King Rooms – now some of Antwerp’s most luxurious rooms. In order to meet your expectations, it is our goal to provide our hotel with modern standards and even more convenient facilities.
In January 2011 we started the renovations of the ageing hotel, which was built in 1984. The alternations will have lasted a little over 1 year and gone almost exactly as planned. With the new design and atmosphere, the hotel gets an enormous boost and guests are able to enjoy their stay in even more comfort than before.

On the 18th of January 2012 the Ramada Plaza Antwerp was proud to host the first New Years event of AHA (Antwerp Hotel Association).
AHA is a brand new association grouping Antwerp hotels. With this Association we want to promote the Antwerp hotels as a group in Belgium and abroad when making promotion for Antwerp as a destination.
The AHA works closely with the Tourism & Congress Office of Antwerp. During the New Year’s event we were proud to welcome ‘Schepen Philip Heylen’ and ‘Minister Geert Bourgeois’ and all colleagues of the Antwerp hotels accompanied by a good atmosphere, good food and a beautiful environment.
